The Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) at UBC Faculty of Medicine is a two-year, full-time professional master's program, and the only occupational therapy degree program in British Columbia. The program offers distributed site study options—Vancouver, North (Prince George), Fraser (Surrey), and Okanagan (Kelowna, starting in 2026). The curriculum consists of core coursework and five fieldwork placements, each lasting 5–7 weeks. Graduates are eligible for national licensure. The program is fully accredited by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and emphasizes hands-on, practical learning, small class sizes, and engagement with clinicians. The focus is on enabling individuals to participate in daily life occupations, enhancing health and quality of life regardless of age or background.
