The UBC Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) is British Columbia's only entry-to-practice physical therapy program, accredited nationally and recognized for its distributed education model. The 26-month program, with cohorts located at four sites across BC, integrates evidence-based, case-based learning with over 1,000 hours of clinical placements. The curriculum emphasizes musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary practice areas and develops skills in clinical reasoning, critical thinking, communication, and professionalism. Students gain hands-on experience through six clinical placements throughout the province, covering the lifespan and a range of conditions, and engage with state-of-the-art facilities and diverse community clinical educators.
