The M.Ed. in Adult Learning and Education at UBC Faculty of Education is Canada's oldest graduate program of its kind, focusing on developing practitioners (instructors, planners, consultants, administrators) and scholars who advance lifelong learning. The program explores diverse contexts for adult education through theoretical, conceptual, and philosophical lenses. Students complete three core courses, a research methods course, and electives, and may choose to complete a graduating paper/project as part of their coursework. Courses are delivered primarily on campus, with select online options available. The program prepares graduates for leadership and practice in adult education settings.
