This is a combined clinical specialty graduate program at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry. It provides comprehensive training for future clinicians, researchers, and educators in pediatric dentistry and craniofacial science. Trainees split clinical training between UBC and BC Children’s Hospital, gaining skills in diagnosing and managing oral health for children and adolescents, including those with special health care needs. The program involves didactic coursework, intensive clinical rotations, a significant research project culminating in a thesis, and prepares graduates for both the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry specialist examinations.
