The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) at UBC's Faculty of Applied Science, offered by the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA), is a professional graduate degree accredited by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB). The three-year curriculum is designed for applicants with a four-year undergraduate degree in any discipline. Those with sufficient relevant coursework may be considered for advanced placement (2 years). The intensive, studio-based program emphasizes disciplinary knowledge and technical skills for architecture practice, including design studios, history, theory, technical/material systems, environmental controls, and media.
