The Integrated Engineering (IGEN) program at UBC's Faculty of Applied Science (Engineering), Vancouver campus, offers students a broad, non-specialized engineering education. Rather than specializing in a single area, students gain a multidisciplinary background through core courses and are able to tailor their learning with 18 credits of technical electives. The curriculum strongly emphasizes engineering design, featuring project courses each term, and includes a co-op option for paid, full-time work experience. The program is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board and prepares graduates for versatile engineering careers or further study.
