The Master of Pathology (MPath) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya is a clinically oriented graduate program intended for medical doctors pursuing specialization as diagnostic pathologists. The programme is structured into two stages: Stage I (one year), covering core competencies in all four main pathology disciplines, and Stage II (three years), focusing on advanced training and research in the candidate’s chosen specialization (Anatomical Pathology, Haematology, Chemical Pathology, Medical Microbiology, or Forensic Pathology). The curriculum blends clinical, laboratory, and research components, culminating in a professional exit examination. The program follows the National Postgraduate Medical Curriculum (NPMC) framework.
