The Master of Built Environment (Research) program at the Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya, is a research-intensive postgraduate degree. Candidates undertake supervised research in fields related to the built environment, culminating in a dissertation. The program promotes critical investigation and advancement of knowledge in fields such as architecture, planning, surveying, and real estate, preparing students to become leaders and scholars in the construction and real estate sectors. A Research Methodology course is included to strengthen postgraduate research capacity. Students benefit from access to the faculty’s modern facilities and vibrant international academic environment, with all proposals subject to faculty approval and supervision.
