The Master of Islamic Management and Finance at the Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, is a graduate-level program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in managing organizations and financial institutions in accordance with Islamic principles (Shariah). The program covers both the management and legal dimensions of Muamalat (Islamic commercial and financial transactions) through core coursework in Maqasid Syariah, Fiqh Muamalat, legal deduction, Islamic financial systems, management, and governance, as well as contemporary issues in Islamic economics. Students also undertake a research project. Teaching is in Malay and English, and the program aims to produce graduates ready to work in Islamic finance, banking, halal compliance, Shariah advisory, policy-making, or further research.
