The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Malaya Faculty of Science is a 4-year undergraduate program accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) since 2012. Established in 1959, this program offers comprehensive training in key chemical disciplines: organic, physical, inorganic, and analytical chemistry. The curriculum includes core theory, laboratory practice, programming in sciences, and compulsory industrial training and research project tasks to enhance employability and practical competence. From year 3 onwards, students may choose to specialize in particular chemistry branches. Graduates partially fulfill requirements for Chartered Chemist (CChem) status and typically find employment in research, industry, or further study.
