The Bachelor of Computer Science (Data Science) at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya, is designed to produce graduates equipped with both computer science and data science knowledge. Students learn to apply scientific and analytic techniques to solve real-world, computer-based problems, conduct data-driven investigations, analyze diverse data sets, and use relevant tools and technologies for predictive modeling. Completion of certain electives also grants a joint professional certificate from SAS, with strong support through industry partnerships. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Database Administrator, and Software Engineer.
