The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry at National University of Singapore (Faculty of Science) is a rigorous four-year undergraduate programme designed for cohorts from 2021 onwards. Students gain breadth and depth across fundamental chemistry disciplines—analytical, inorganic, organic, physical—grounded in both experimental and theoretical learning. The curriculum emphasises advanced laboratory techniques, critical thinking, and hands-on experiential learning, including research opportunities (FYP and UROPS), internships, and collaborations with industry. Graduates are equipped for diverse careers: research scientists, QA/QC officers, advanced studies, or roles in public/private sectors. Research areas span advanced materials, chemical biology, environmental analytics, spectroscopy, catalysis, and more. Specialisation in Chemical Research is available for students completing both FYP and UROPS, plus higher-level Chemistry modules.
