The MSc (Asian Studies) at S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, is an empirically driven, area-centric graduate programme focused on the dynamic political, economic, and security developments in Asia. It offers students a multidimensional understanding of Asia through the disciplines of comparative politics, international relations, economics, and history. Students gain analytical tools and historical perspectives to develop expertise in emerging Asian regional issues, including political transitions, economic growth, security flashpoints, and major power relations involving China, India, Japan, the US, and ASEAN. The programme offers an optional Certificate in Contemporary China Studies (CCCS) via specialized coursework and/or dissertation topics.
