UC Davis School of Law offers a flexible LL.M. program with an optional concentration in Criminal Law and Policy. The concentration provides advanced exposure to criminal law and policy, integrating LL.M. students into JD classes and offering both core and elective courses in topics such as criminal procedure, evidence, advocacy, and policy reform. A writing requirement on a criminal law topic is mandatory. The program is designed for foreign-trained lawyers, judges, prosecutors, or those with a first law degree. Starting points are in August or January, and there is a standard one-year track and an extended two-year option. Classes are taught by leading scholars, with personalized academic advising, bar exam preparation, and full integration into the law school's academic and professional life.
