The Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a Concentration in Tax Law at UC Davis School of Law is designed for practicing lawyers and recent graduates seeking advanced knowledge in tax law. Students earn the tax law concentration by completing a minimum of 8 units in tax law courses, including at least one foundational course and a substantial research paper on a tax law topic. The curriculum covers federal income taxation, international taxation, business entities, estate planning, and state and local taxation, among other topics. LL.M. candidates benefit from integration with JD students, access to a wide array of electives, and individualized academic advising. The program offers both one-year and two-year options, with start dates in August and January.
