The UC Davis School of Law LL.M. program offers a flexible curriculum designed for international and U.S. legal professionals. Through the pre-planned specialization in Environmental and Natural Resources Law, students gain advanced knowledge and practical skills in environmental regulation, policy-making, litigation, and sustainable resource management. The concentration requires at least one foundation course in environmental law and a minimum of 8 units from specialized electives such as Climate Change Law, Natural Resources Law, Environmental Justice, and Renewable Energy Seminar. Students must also complete a significant research paper on an environmental law topic, supervised and approved by faculty. Practical experience through clinics and internships is integral, with opportunities to participate in moot court, externships, and professional student organizations. The program prepares graduates for leadership roles in law firms, government agencies, NGOs, and industry worldwide.
