The Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, UC Davis, is a full-time, 18-month accelerated master's degree designed for adults who already have a bachelor’s degree in another discipline. The program prepares students to become registered nurses (RNs), leaders in quality and safety, advocates for diverse patient populations, and agents of change for healthier communities. Graduates are eligible to take the national licensing exam (NCLEX-RN), become certified as Public Health Nurses, and earn a Master of Science in Nursing degree. The curriculum features integrative case-based learning, immersive clinical experiences, and is taught by an interprofessional faculty team. The MEPN is highly competitive and emphasizes leadership, systems thinking, and preparing clinicians for both hospital and community-based nursing roles.
