UC Davis offers both Master’s (Plan I/II) and Ph.D. tracks in Psychology. The program features advanced coursework and research in foundational and specialized areas of psychology, including developmental, cognitive neuroscience, psychobiology, social-personality, and quantitative methods. Students are mentored by faculty and have access to rich interdisciplinary collaborations with institutes such as the M.I.N.D. Institute and Center for Neuroscience. The program emphasizes research, teaching, and professional development, preparing graduates for academic, research, or industry careers. Students must complete seminars, statistics, preliminary and qualifying exams, and a dissertation. Admission is research-focused with typically close faculty-student mentorship throughout all stages of training. Enrollment is intentionally limited to ensure personalized support and academic flexibility.
