USC’s MS in Human Security and Geospatial Intelligence (HSGI) builds leadership and management skills applicable to human security, disaster risk mitigation, and geospatial intelligence. Students gain advanced expertise in the theory and application of geospatial data analysis, spatial decision-making, and incident management for both man-made and natural disasters. The curriculum includes an experiential weeklong fieldwork at Catalina Island and a capstone project with industry partners. The program is especially suited for those targeting roles in GEOINT, military, public safety, humanitarian response, or related fields, and is accredited by the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF).
