The USC Marshall Master of Science in Marketing (MSMKT) is a STEM-designated graduate program designed to provide in-depth knowledge of marketing skills and techniques in fast-evolving sectors. The curriculum emphasizes tools, frameworks, practical projects, and critical thinking in fields such as consumer behavior, analytics, entertainment, technology, and healthcare marketing. Students can tailor their studies through electives and choose concentrations, such as Consumer Behavior or Marketing Analytics, the latter focusing on data-driven marketing skills including the use of R and Python. The program involves 33 units (Consumer Behavior) or 30 units (Marketing Analytics), and can be completed over three semesters (Fall–Spring–Fall) with the option to intern in the intervening summer. The MSMKT is suitable for early- and mid-career professionals and international students may benefit from OPT-STEM extension eligibility.
