USC Viterbi School of Engineering's Master of Science in Electrical Engineering prepares students for leadership roles in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. The program offers a broad curriculum covering areas such as adaptive and reconfigurable circuits, antenna networks, bio-signal processing, very-large-scale integration (VLSI), computer-aided design, control systems, signal and image processing, nanotechnology, optical communications, photonics, and quantum information processing. Students may select specialized tracks or a general study plan. The program is available both on-campus and online via DEN@Viterbi, with identical standards and faculty for both modalities. International students are eligible for the OPT STEM extension. The MS requires at least 28 units of coursework; thesis and directed research options may be available after the first semester but are not guaranteed.
