The MS in Green Technologies at USC Viterbi is a highly interdisciplinary program focusing on sustainable solutions in engineering, with a strong emphasis on green systems, energy technologies, and environmental stewardship. The program provides students with a technical foundation in fundamentals of sustainable energy systems, climate change, and lifecycle assessment, while allowing specialization in areas such as sustainable infrastructure, pollution, power and energy systems, or combustion. The program is designed for students from a wide range of engineering and science backgrounds, preparing them for industry or research careers on the front lines of climate change and the energy transition. The curriculum requires a minimum of 27 units (at least 18 units at 500-level or above and within Viterbi), with students required to take courses across three topical areas and pursue electives and potential directed research. Students benefit from access to innovative projects in Los Angeles and an entrepreneurial, interdisciplinary academic environment.
