USC's Master of Architecture (MArch) is a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited graduate program designed to prepare students for professional licensure and advanced practice in architecture. The program is open to students with a bachelor's degree outside the design professions (three years of study required) as well as those with a pre-professional architecture degree (advanced standing, two years). The curriculum includes a strong foundation in history, technology, practice, and studio design, with a six-semester design studio sequence focused on synthesizing social, environmental, and technical knowledge through projects. Students may select electives and can pursue graduate certificates as part of a tailored academic path. The MArch program emphasizes innovative design thinking and prepares graduates for diverse professional opportunities in the evolving architectural field.
