USC Thornton School of Music offers the Master of Music (MM) in Classical Guitar Performance and Studio Guitar Performance. The classical program emphasizes technical mastery, scholarly achievement, chamber music skills, and lifelong creativity. Students learn under world-renowned faculty, including GRAMMY® winners and participate in masterclasses with global artists. The studio guitar program focuses on jazz and popular music techniques with classical training, and prepares graduates for diverse professional roles such as performers, composers for media, and educators.
