The Master of Music (MM) in Sacred Music at USC Thornton comprises coursework in sacred music, choral conducting, choral literature, choral development, music history, and vocal arts. The program culminates in a graduate recital or project and includes comprehensive oral/written examinations. At least 26 semester units are required, with standards set for grade achievement and transfer credits. Graduate entrance exams in core music subjects are mandatory unless the student already holds an eligible USC Thornton degree.
