The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, provides graduate-level academic and clinical training needed to become a licensed speech-language pathologist. The rigorous, cohort-based program lasts two years across six consecutive semesters. It includes both advanced coursework and hands-on clinical practice, with students required to complete at least 400 hours of supervised clinical experiences across different settings and populations, according to ASHA standards. Completion of the program qualifies graduates to apply for California licensure and to begin their post-graduate clinical fellowship. The curriculum covers prevention, assessment, and intervention for communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan and is fully accredited.
