The MSW/MD dual degree program at the University of Southern California (USC) is designed to train professionals with strong competencies in both social work and medicine. The program, combining coursework from the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work’s MSW and the Keck School of Medicine’s MD program, prepares graduates for careers in holistic patient care, clinical leadership, health policy, and community health. Students are equipped with the skills needed to address social determinants of health, advocate for vulnerable populations, and provide comprehensive care. The MSW component focuses on social work practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advanced integrative approaches. The MD component provides medical education leading to physician licensure.
