The Master of Science in Spatial Data Science at USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, in partnership with the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, is a cross-disciplinary STEM degree that prepares students to solve large-scale, location-based data challenges across sectors such as healthcare, environmental sustainability, transportation, and beyond. The curriculum is designed for diverse backgrounds, offering foundational training in data science, spatial analysis and thinking, with electives to specialize further. Students work on a digital portfolio throughout, gain exposure to industry-focused experiential learning, and graduate qualified for leadership and technical roles in geospatial data analytics, AI, and GIS technologies.
