Georgia Tech’s MSUD program is an intensive, interdisciplinary graduate degree housed within the School of Architecture and collaborating with the School of City and Regional Planning. It is designed for applicants who already hold accredited professional degrees in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, City and Regional Planning, or Civil Engineering. The curriculum emphasizes urban design studios, often in collaboration with local communities, and focuses on contemporary challenges such as climate change, equity, and infrastructure retrofitting. The course includes core requirements (30 credits) and electives (9 credits) for a minimum of 39 credits. Internships and study abroad opportunities further enhance professional development. Students typically complete the program in one year, starting in fall, with an option for a year-long thesis.
