The Master of Science in Global Development at Georgia Institute of Technology's Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts is a 12-month interdisciplinary program aimed at training professionals for sustainable development in governments, development firms, and NGOs—focusing on challenges in developing regions, particularly Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The curriculum draws from economics, political science, city and regional planning, and international affairs to provide tools for sustainable responses to issues such as urbanization, climate change, and inequality. Students gain multidisciplinary quantitative, policy, and planning skills for roles in international development, infrastructure planning, and poverty reduction.
