The Master of Science in International Affairs, Science, and Technology (MS IAST) at the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, Georgia Institute of Technology, is a one-year, intensive program designed to prepare students to analyze and address the intersections of international politics, science, and technology. The curriculum combines conceptual foundations with practical policy analysis across critical areas such as energy, the environment, IT, space policy, disruptive technologies, intelligence, arms control, and related global challenges. Core courses cover International Relations Theory, Empirical Research Methods, and Science, Technology & International Affairs. Students also choose electives in topics such as innovation, security, modeling and forecasting, and comparative policy analysis. The program emphasizes the development of qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and offers extensive career support and professional development.
