The Master of Education (Health Sciences Education) at the University of Alberta is a cohort-based, blended program designed for working health professionals and clinical faculty. The curriculum covers educational pedagogy, research, interprofessional leadership, curriculum studies, assessment, and technology integration in health education. The program can be taken as course-based (33 units: 24 required, 6 electives, 3-unit capping exercise) or thesis-based (24 units coursework plus thesis). Most courses are delivered online, with one required in-person intensive.
