This thesis-based MSc program prepares dental graduates for practice in Oral Medicine and/or academic careers. It combines didactic coursework and clinical training to develop skills in diagnosing and managing medically-related disorders of the oral and maxillofacial region, including oral mucosal diseases, salivary gland disorders, orofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders, and oral chemosensory disorders. The program fosters high-level research, critical thinking, and collaboration, and requires completion of at least 56 credits, a thesis, and participation in seminars and clinical rotations. Graduates will be equipped for specialized care of medically complex dental patients and potential academic appointments.
