The MScPT at the University of Alberta is a fully accredited, entry-level professional master's degree. This course-based program prepares graduates for clinical practice as physical therapists with modern skills in assessment, intervention, and client management. Offered across three campus sites (Edmonton, Augustana/Camrose, Calgary), the program uses a distributed model, beginning with a one-month anatomy residency in Edmonton. All students follow the same core curriculum, with some electives reflecting local expertise. The program is designed for students from diverse undergraduate backgrounds and leads to eligibility to write the Canadian physiotherapy licensing exam. The program accepts approximately 124 students annually and is recognized for its commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in admissions and education.
