The Finance major within the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, provides students with a solid foundation across a broad area of business careers: banking, investments and portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, international finance, securities trading, and financial markets. The curriculum is closely tied to professional practice, covering at least 70% of the CFA Level 1 curriculum, and includes the opportunity to participate in PRIME, a real portfolio fund management program.
