The Bachelor of Arts/Master of Public Health (BA/MPH) is a joint 5-year program offered by the Boston University College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) and the School of Public Health (SPH). It combines a 128-credit undergraduate BA of any concentration with a 48-credit graduate MPH, enabling students to complete both degrees more quickly than if pursued separately. Up to 12 graduate-level credits from BU SPH, completed during the final two undergraduate years, count towards both the BA elective requirements and the MPH. Upon completion, students are prepared for diverse public health careers ranging from program evaluation and policy, health advocacy, epidemiology, and more. Proactive planning with academic advisors is required for timely completion.
