Boston University's Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) is designed for students preparing for advanced, technically demanding industry careers or further studies. The program offers a customizable curriculum of 32 graduate-level credits, requiring a practicum, a software design course, and both ECE-specific and interdisciplinary electives. Students develop expertise across EE and CE as well as emerging fields like data science, computational imaging, smart cities, and Internet-of-Things. Students can opt for a thesis or project-based internship. Emphasis is on both theoretical foundations and hands-on, project-based learning, with resources such as the Engineering Product Innovation Center and robust career and alumni networks. The program is STEM-designated and fosters real-world experience through the 'with Engineering Practice' track involving an internship.
