The Erasmus Mundus Master Course in Public Health in Disasters (EMJMDPHID) is a joint, multidisciplinary two-year program offered by the Department of Global Public Health at Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), the Universidad de Oviedo (Spain), and the University of Nicosia (Cyprus). The program focuses on the causes, risk factors and impacts of disasters, as well as risk reduction, response, and recovery from a public health perspective. EMJMDPHID aims to build capacity for disaster risk reduction and for effective, evidence-based public health interventions in disaster settings.
