The Medical Degree (Läkarexamen) at Karolinska Institutet is an integrated, 6-year program leading to professional qualification as a physician (MD). Clinical training is a core component throughout the program, with semesters 4, 5, and 6 particularly involving rotations and courses at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge (MedH), located at Karolinska University Hospital, Huddinge. Clinical curriculum covers surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, among others, and is taught through both theoretical instruction and supervised practice.
