The Master's Programme in Public Health Sciences at Karolinska Institutet (Department of Medicine, Solna) is a 2-year, full-time master's degree comprising 120 ECTS. The program is taught in English and offers two specialisations: Public Health Epidemiology and Health Promotion and Prevention. The Public Health Epidemiology track emphasises applied epidemiology, critical review of epidemiological studies, and analysis of diverse public health problems. The Health Promotion and Prevention track focuses on planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion and disease prevention interventions, both individually and structurally. Both tracks include advanced studies in epidemiology, biostatistics, qualitative research methods, and intervention evaluation, giving graduates a solid theoretical and practical foundation for careers in public health or further doctoral studies.
