This program is a specialized, web-based master's-level contract education for physicians, jointly offered by the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society at Karolinska Institutet and the Silviahemmet foundation. It covers advanced topics in dementia care—ranging from the latest research, diagnosis, treatment, to organizational models—aiming to produce 'Silvia Doctors' (Silvialäkare) with deep expertise in all aspects of dementia across disease stages. Graduates receive a diploma presented by H. M. Queen Silvia of Sweden and are expected to contribute to effective, quality-assured dementia care within their organizations.
