The Master's Programme in Nutrition Science at Karolinska Institutet (Department of Medicine, Huddinge; often associated with the BioNut Unit) provides an in-depth, research-oriented education on the scientific basis of nutrition, with a strong focus on human health. The curriculum covers the relationship between diet and health, evidence-based dietary recommendations, molecular and genetic mechanisms, assessment methodologies for dietary intake and physical activity, disease prevention through nutrition, interventions using digital health technologies (eHealth/mHealth), and professional skills for science communication and entrepreneurship. The second year includes a customizable research project (degree project) within nutrition science, allowing for specializations in molecular, physiological, clinical, epidemiological, or public health areas. The program is conducted in English in Stockholm, Sweden, and prepares graduates for doctoral studies or professional roles in the nutrition science sector.
