The Bachelor's Programme in Biomedicine at Karolinska Institutet is a 3-year, full-time, undergraduate degree taught entirely in English. The curriculum provides broad and in-depth knowledge in the areas of biomedicine, focusing on the biology and pathology of the human body and the molecular mechanisms underlying global diseases—such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, infections, and neurological disorders. The programme is delivered in an international, research-intensive environment and the final semester includes a degree project that can be completed in Sweden or abroad. Students are also encouraged to study part of the programme at partner universities. Graduates are equipped for master's studies and careers in biomedical research, the life science sector, clinical trials, management, and related fields.
