The Bachelor's Programme in Biomedicine at Karolinska Institutet is an international study programme taught in English. Graduates acquire broad knowledge of the biology and pathology of the human body, with a focus on molecular mechanisms underlying major global diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, infections, and neurological diseases. The programme is conducted in a strong research environment with opportunities to participate in international exchange. The curriculum includes natural sciences and medically-oriented courses, with intensive laboratory training and exposure to research methods. The final semester features a degree project that can be conducted in academia or industry, in Sweden or abroad.
