The Bachelor of Medical Science with a Major in Biomedicine at Karolinska Institutet is a three-year international program taught in English. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the biology and pathology of the human body, as well as the molecular mechanisms underlying major diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, infections, and neurological disorders. The curriculum integrates general natural sciences with medically oriented courses, extensive laboratory practices, and scientific methods. The program is conducted in close connection with cutting-edge biomedical research at Karolinska Institutet and offers students the opportunity to conduct their final degree project within academia or industry, in Sweden or abroad.
