This blended MEd program prepares graduates for practice and leadership as school psychologists or for applied psychology roles in school or community settings. The curriculum focuses on psychological foundations, assessment, intervention, consultation, development, school psychology practice, and research methods. Students complete a total of 20 courses, which include three practica, an internship, and a capstone project. The core feature is a 1,200-hour internship, providing broad and applied training. The program aims to produce effective collaborators helping to enhance learning and mental health outcomes for children and youth. Some components are delivered online, while others require face-to-face attendance at the University of Calgary's main campus.
