The UC Riverside School of Medicine launched its new Master of Public Health (MPH) program in Fall 2024. This two-year, community-focused program provides in-depth training on local to global public health challenges and solutions, with curriculum integrated by public health experts from across UCR. The program partners with local health agencies and emphasizes work with medically underserved communities, health equity, and social/structural determinants of health. All courses are delivered in-person, primarily evenings, to accommodate working professionals, and the curriculum is not STEM-designated. The program prepares graduates for diverse careers in public health leadership, policy, practice, research, and advocacy, especially within Inland Southern California.
