The Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Sexuality Studies at the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, University of California Riverside, provides undergraduate students with intersectional feminist perspectives on gender and sexuality, integrating interdisciplinary and transnational approaches. The program covers topics including the diversity of genders and sexualities, history and structures of cisheteropatriarchy and white supremacy, feminist theories, epistemologies, and global citizenship. Students engage with gender and sexuality in relationship to race, ethnicity, class, environment, pop culture, and more, and are encouraged to gain practical experience via internships and study abroad. The curriculum prepares graduates for careers in education, law, nonprofit work, public policy, social justice, social work, and health care, as well as for graduate study.
