Georgetown University's Master of Science in Physiology & Biophysics is an intensive, non-thesis program designed to provide advanced scientific training for students preparing for medical, dental, allied health, or doctoral studies. The 30-credit program combines a rigorous biomedical science core (including courses in human physiology, cellular and molecular biology, and biostatistics) with electives that allow personalized study in related fields such as Tumor Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Clinical & Translational Research. The small cohort (30–40 students) ensures personalized advising, professional school preparation, and a collaborative environment. The program features experienced faculty, many of whom teach at the medical and doctoral level. Students may also elect to participate in a research elective. 85% of graduates are accepted to medical school within three years. The program is housed in the Department of Pharmacology & Physiology within the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.
