The Master of Arts in European Studies (MAES) at Georgetown University is a two-year, full-time interdisciplinary program that trains future transatlantic leaders. Students gain comprehensive knowledge of European affairs from multiple perspectives—history, culture, economics, politics—and can create a personalized concentration through elective courses. The curriculum includes 42 credits: 18 core credits and 24 electives. Graduates acquire strong oral communication, critical writing, research skills, and proficiency in at least one European language other than English. The program is housed in the BMW Center for German and European Studies and offers access to Washington, D.C. and Georgetown's extensive resources for international careers.
